Dear Friends,
In 1893, a dedicated group of 22 women and three men came together to establish a voluntary, not-for-profit hospital for their community. In that first year, 31 patients were cared for. One hundred twenty-five years later, almost 200,000 patients receive treatments in our facilities annually.
In 2018, the Hospital celebrates the 125th anniversary of its incorporation. This website provides a glimpse into some of our many accomplishments and the dramatic changes that have accompanied them.
The past is a prologue to our future. Today, our new partnership with the Montefiore Health System promises to propel us to the next chapter of our remarkable journey. As we look ahead, we are committed to ensuring that White Plains Hospital will remain at the forefront of community health and wellness initiatives. On the strength of our history, our people, and our community, we are excited about what the future holds and confident that White Plains Hospital will continue to deliver care that is exceptional, every day, to all who rely on us.
